Mavic Crossmax ST Disc Wheels ’09

Light enough to climb, strong to fly back down.  The Mavic Crossmax ST is a no holds bar all mountain/XC wheel, with features that no other wheelset can compete with.  The rim is constructed using Mavic’s proprietary Maxtal alloy, which is lighter and stronger than 6106 alloy.  As with most wheels the rim uses a double wall design, but what makes these different is the fact that only the outer wall is drilled for the spoke/nipple, the inner wall is left intact, completely sealed.  This makes installing a tubeless tire a snap, no more strips or aftermarket kits to buy(depending on the application you may still need sealant).  Connecting the rim to the hub are over sized alloy spokes, but don’t confuse over sized with heavy.  These spokes are Zicral, a highly resistant and lightweight aluminum alloy spoke.  At the hub Mavic’s QRM+ cartridge bearings, with double seals, roll fast and smooth.  Every little detail has been looked at creating one of the fastest, strongest and most beautiful wheels available.
