The Steamroller is an awesome fixed gear frame that’s perfect for commuting, fitness riding, or just knocking around. But don’t be fooled by the low price – it’s a track legal frame that is ready for the velodrome, too.
SPECIFICATIONS
- 4130 chromoly frame and fork
- Horizontal dropouts to easily adjust chain tension
- Accepts 1 1/8″ headset, 27.2mm post (includes Surly seatpost clamp) and 68mm BB
- Handles up to 700 x 38c tire
- Front fork and seatstay bridge are drilled to accept brakes in case you decide to add them

Surly Track / Fixed Gear
Meth Teeth probably makes more or less sense depending on your geographic location, but it’s the same Steamroller frame you’ve come to know and love in a brand new color. Whether you choose to build it up with a drop bar to hit the Velodrome, a cruiser bar for commuting around campus, or a mini flat bar for bike polo, you’ll find that its durable 4130 cromoly frame and fork will provide years of reliable service.
- True track dropouts make setting chain tension a snap
- Includes matching 1 1/8″ threadless cromoly fork
- Rear dropouts are spaced for 120mm wheels (common track standard)
- Frame accepts 27.2mm seatpost (includes a Surly Stainless clamp), standard 1 1/8″ threadless headset, and 68mm bottom bracket
- Frame and fork accept (optional) standard reach caliper brakes
- Clearance for up to 700x38c tires
