Steamroller’s frame and fork are constructed of durable 4130 chromoly steel, for an excellent balance of cost-effectiveness, ride quality, weight, and lifespan. This is a bike you can feel good about riding and USING without worrying about weather, bad roads, etc.  While it was designed as a fixed gear machine (and can certainly be ridden at the track) the geometry is more like a road bike.

TECH SPECS

• The only braze-ons are water bottle bosses. If you need to carry a rack, panniers, etc; consider the excellent Long Haul Trucker instead
• Comes outfitted with a fixed track-style cog, however, the rear hub is threaded on both sides in case you want to run a freewheel (sissy…)
• handles up to 700 x 38c tires from most brands, so you can use big rubber for winter, gravel roads, etc.

• TIG-welded 4130 cromoly steel frame and fork, main triangle is double-butted, lugged/brazed 1 1/8″ threadless fork
• Andel forged crankset with 44T chainring; mated to a Surly 19T fixed cog
• SRAM PC-830 chain
• Ritchey logic Comp headset
• Kalloy AS-009 forged stem, hooked to Surly’s new “Open Bar” upright cromoly 666mm wide handlebar
• Velo Kraton grips
• Tektro Mt2.1 levers with R538 brake
• Kalloy seatpost, WTB SST saddle with cromoly rails. Held in place with a Surly stainless clamp
• Wheels are Surly’s hubs laced to 32h Alex DA-22 rims using premium DT Swiss 14g spokes
• Continental Tour ride 700c x 32 tires

Your new Steamroller will take about 3 business days for Jenson USA to tune and assemble prior to shipment (this service is included free with all complete bicycles sold at Jenson USA.)
