The SRAM 10-speed shifters feature Exact Actuation Ratio and is part of SRAM’s new 2×10 line designed to give you the benefits of a 2×10 drivetrain. Benefits of a 2×10 system include a better chainline, a narrower Q-factor (distance between pedal centers), and the simplicity of having a full range of useable gears while eliminating the redundant gear combinations.
Exact Actuation delivers an identical 3mm adjustment between each gear on the cassette. That means the cable pulls the derailleur exactly 3mm each gear change (as opposed to a variation in pull effort) resulting in a crisper and more immediate shift.

Lever:
For 2012 the lever pivot has been slightly shortened which translates to a 15% increase in power. The Tech Evo lever now has a roller fitted to the cam mechanism, further enhancing the smooth feel of the lever. Ambidextrous ‘flip flop’ design, CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy – with a split clamp to allow easy set up and choice of positioning. Redesigned piston, lever and pivot assembly with external ‘on the fly’ reach and bite point adjustment dials. The lever linkage eliminates freeplay in the lever giving a consistent and reliable feel to the brake. Further developments include bearing lever pivots for smooth, rock free use and increased lever ergonomics with a perforated lever for extra grip and feel. Also, a double sided reservoir lid makes for easy bleeding. The brake is supplied with a choice of either hi tensile polyester reinforced or Goodridge stainless steel braided hose.
Caliper:
This neat, slimline caliper optimises the very latest COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to reduce unnecessary weight,improve aesthetics and create a high performance partnership with the Tech Evo Lever. The caliper is machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy and an increased piston diameter, generating more usable braking force on the rotor. A drip free bleed nipple and wide angle orientation of the fluid inlet connector have also been added, allowing for neater hose routing and cleaner servicing.

TECH EVO LEVER

The one piece caliper is CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy.
- The M4 caliper uses four identical 16mm phenolic pistons which gives more usable power to the brake, whilst keeping our ledgendary “feel”.
- A drip free bleed nipple and wide angle orientation of the fluid inlet connector have also been added, allowing for neater hose routing and cleaner servicing
